Milani Baked Eyeshadow Collection Part 1
I thought I would do a round-up of my Milani Baked Eyeshadow collection. These eyeshadows can be used wet or dry. Using them dry will give a more sheer wash of color for the most part, although a few of them have good color payoff. Using them wet will yield a greater color payoff, and work well as eyeliner. Some colors are metallic satin, while others have a metallic, frosty finish with sparkle. Take care with the frosty colors as they are prone to more fallout. All colors have been swatched dry over UD Primer Potion. More after the jump.
Rich Java and Green Fortune
Drenched In Gold, Copper Excess, and I HeartYou
Rich Java
Rich Java is a beautiful metallic dark brown with a satin finish. This brown is easily my favorite from all of the Milani Baked Eyeshadows that I own.
Rich Java
This color applies so smoothly with no fallout, and is very pigmented. It is such a rich, deep brown, that will compliment nude looks as well as bright colors.
Green Fortune
I remember when this color first came out, I wanted it so bad. It was the most unique looking eyeshadow I had seen at the time with all the different veins of color running through it. It has green apple, chartreuse, pink, copper, and gold marbled throughout with lots of sparkle.
Green Fortune
The colors together form a lovely mid-tone olive green hue. Dry, it gives medium coverage with minimal fallout.
Drenched In Gold
Drenched In Gold is a light champagne gold color marbled with copper and a frosty finish with lots of sparkle. This color has some fallout, however this can be minimized by patting on the color rather than brushing it on. Using it wet will also help with fallout.
Drenched In Gold
I like to use this as a wash of color all over the lid, which works great when you want something on your eyes without doing a full eye look. It adds just enough drama all by itself.
Copper Excess
Copper Excess is a fun coppery orange color for someone who doesn't want to delve into actual orange. It has a satiny finish without fallout.
Copper Excess
This is a medium toned new copper penny color with medium coverage. Beautiful worn alone, or with other colors. I think it would be particularly nice paired with teal!
I Heart You
I Heart You is a fun red color that is definitely in charge of your look. Worn correctly, it can be lovely. Worn incorrectly, and someone might think you have pink-eye. I think these types of colors are easier to wear in a gradient with similar colors, or as a transition color above your crease.
I Heart You
This is a mid-tone orangey-red with a minimal pink duo-chrome effect. It has excellent color pay-off, and is a fun color to wear.
These retail for $7.99 for 0.05 oz. Would I repurchase? Some yes, some no. Rich Java is one I would recommend for sure!
Part 2 will be up tomorrow. Have a beautiful day!
