L'oréal Pro-Matte Foundation in 101 Classic Ivory and 102 Shell Beige
The foundation on the left is number 101 Classic Ivory which is the lightest shade in the range. The right is 102 Shell Beige, the second lightest shade. A few bits about my skin first. I am a MAC NW15, with rosacea. While my skin is pretty light, the redness can be difficult to cover especially since I don't like adding multiple layers of foundation in order to achieve full coverage. I also have very oily skin, and even with a primer I have problems keeping my foundation looking fresh beyond a few hours. I have found that as I'm getting older that the cheap Covergirl foundation that I always wore no longer stays in place or gives me coverage. I have tried various formulas and brands in my quest for a HG foundation. I'm looking for mostly full coverage foundation that doesn't feel heavy or caked on, I need it to be matte and last for as long as possible, and I need a color match which is very hard to find from drugstore brands. When I found out that L'oréal had a new Infallible Pro-Matte foundation coming, I could have swore I heard the "Hallelujah" chorus playing in the distance. I mean, this foundation claims "demi-matte, air-light, oil-free, and lasts 24 hours". What is not to love here? So I bought the two lightest shades available, hoping that one of them would be light enough. The one thing I will say is that the shade range is limited. There is not much selection and none for our darker friends, which I'm hoping they expand to include all skin tones. The shade 101 is a bit too light for me, and the shade 102 is almost a perfect match. Being that it is winter, Im mixing them in equal parts for a perfect match.

Right away you can see that the coverage is going to be quite nice. I'm happy that I bought both shades, and I think I will continue to do so in the future.
Pro-Matte and Bare Face Comparison
My face has been moisturized, primer all over, with concealer under my eyes. I did a side by side comparison with my bare face so you can really see the coverage this gives. I apply my foundation with a damp Beauty Blender. The left side is a 1/2 and 1/2 mixture of both foundation colors. This foundation sets pretty quickly and is the only foundation I have ever used that doesn't require a powder to set. I do use powder, but you don't have to. It truly does set to a demi-matte finish and, although I'm not sure about the 24 hour claim, does last and last. I get very good coverage from this, so if you suffer from skin issues, try this. It is very light feeling and not at all cakey or oily. I love it, and would go so far as to say it is the best foundation I have ever used for my skin needs. The stickler here for many is going to be the price point, as it is on the higher side for drugstore cosmetics. I justify this because I have wasted so much money on less than stellar products that simply don't work for me, and this does. The quality that is in this formula feels much more high end, I would compare it to Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+ that retails for $36 for the same amount of product.
Pro-Matte Full Face
I am amazed at the coverage here. In this picture I am only wearing the foundation, no powder, and yet my face is completely dry to the touch. I am loving the new foundation, its nice to find a good foundation that fits all of my needs. This retails for $11.99 for 1.0 oz. And I would definitely repurchase it.
