Taking off makeup at the end of the day is such a task and not many of us really enjoy this particular part of our face routine. The easier, the better. Right? I prefer to remove my makeup without soap, and my favorite method is MAC Cleanse Off Oil in Tranquil. However, I like to try new things and am happy to report a new product that is getting great reviews across the web. The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter is a unique product. It is housed in a twist top tin, filled inside with what looks like a solid substance that, at first glance, resembles Crisco. It scoops out easily and is quite soft. I take out a small scoop the size of a blueberry, rub between my palms which melts the product and rub all over my face. When I feel like everything is emulsified, I rinse my face in warm water. Everything rinses clean away and Im left with soft, clean skin. There is no greasy feeling to my face. This Cleansing Butter is ever so slightly scented, so sensitive users should be ok with it. It is also very reasonably priced at $15 for 2.7 oz. Repurchase? Most Definitely.
After cleansing, I use my Tea Tree toner from The Body Shop. My last post reviewed this product. I like it. I would repurchase it.
For my eyes, I am working my way through another sample product that I received from my Walmart sample box. L'oreal Revitalift Triple Power Overnight Mask is not meant specifically for eyes, but I like it. For me personally it is too heavy for day use, although it is perfect for using at bedtime. The only down side for some would be the fragrance. It smells very similar to Benefit Triple Moisture Face Cream. I really like the smell myself, so for me its not a problem. This cream leaves the skin under and around my eyes well hydrated. This retails for $19.99 for 1.7 oz. Repurchase? Yes I would.
My evening all-over facial moisturizer of choice is Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil. I like this oil because it absorbs well, leaves my skin soft, and is affordable. This oil works just as well as other face oils on the market that retail for $40. Those sensitive to fragrance may want to use caution as it is scented like roses. This light-weight oil comes in an amber twist top jar with a dropper in the lid for ease. Retail price is $11.99 for 1.0 fl. oz. Repurchase? Yes!
As of late, being that its winter and all, my lips have been particularly chapped. My nighttime remedy comes from Neosporin Overnight Renewal Therapy for lips. This little pot is unflavored, but does have a lanolin type smell. The smell is naturally occurring, and subsides quickly. When my lips are in need of some extreme moisture, I reach for this. Retail price is $5.49 for 0.27 oz. Repurchase? Yes.
